Marcia Harvey is an African-American writer, best known because she was the ex-wife of comedic legend and TV host Steve Harvey. She decided to keep her private life private and away from the media. Even though Steve did not have anywhere in the same level of success that he has today and they were married for 14 years. It's not clear what led to the split, although Hollywood has heard of rumors about it. Some claim that Steve Harvey is cheating while others blame him for choosing the field of comedy for his work. Steve Harvey separated from his two daughters while she was expecting their third child, which caused her to feel devastated. Despite the hardships she has faced she has carved out an excellent career in fashion design and writing. She was introduced to Steve after a while at a reception for a mutual friend's event. They were in love, and they were married in the year 1980. Steve was working as an insurance salesman at that time , and the couple was blessed with twin girls in 1982. However, around that time Steve began to get disillusioned with his job and wanted to pursue an income in entertainment and stand-up, specifically stand-up comedy. Marcia and Steve were in a lot of disagreements and later reports suggested that they were starting to break up. Marcia Harvey's fame stemmed mostly due to her marriage Steve Harvey, and their divorce.
